What brands of polish do you use?
Our top-choice brands include OPI, CND, Essie, The GelBottle (BIAB), and DND. We favour these brands because they are 100% vegan-friendly and cruelty-free, aligning with our commitment to ethical and sustainable beauty practices.
What's the difference between gel extensions and gel polish?
Essentially, gel extensions are nail enhancements where a "faux" nail is applied over the natural nail to add length or change the shape. These can cover the entire nail or be applied as tips.
In contrast, gel polish (often referred to as Shellac) is a long-lasting polish applied directly to the natural nail. It does not add length but provides a durable, high-shine finish.
The removal processes are also different. While gel polish is easily soaked off and causes no damage when handled professionally, gel extensions require a more intensive removal process. If not removed correctly, extensions can be more taxing on the natural nail.
How long does gel / shellac polish last?
Depending on your nail type and how well they are maintained, results will vary. On average, a gel or Shellac manicure lasts between 10 to 14 days.
